About
Grace Tilton Adamczyk is a multi-media artist living and working in New York City where she graduated from Parsons School of Design with BFA in Fine Arts and a Minor in Creative Writing/Poetry. Her practice is a cacophony of materiality moving between painting, sculpture, video and textiles according to the subject, preferring to let the idea determine the way of making.
Now after completing her thesis, Grace is connecting the history of film, the portrayal of femininity, and the current internet landscape. This is part of a larger understanding of how the history of feminism and power relating to sexualization have evolved into the trends we see today. She is currently working between textile mediums, photoshop, and video to build a world where fetishized bodies hold power, and exploring if these images can be utilized to create a sense of utopic euphoria.
